, Suljagić was accused of domestic violence by his wife, Behija Selimović. On 29 December 2011, Selimović called the police to report that Suljagić had attacked her in the apartment they shared. She reported that he had violently grabbed her by the neck, and then began damaging furniture in the apartment, at which point she escaped. The police arrived at the scene and found visible evidence of strangulation on her neck. Selimović later publicly stated that, though there was a quarrel, Suljagić had not hit her.
